PVR NEST (Network of Enablement and Social Transformation) is the CSR arm of PVR Limited and the first Cinema CSR trust in India.
Founded in 2006, we have worked in building government-powered programs dedicated to mitigating the vulnerabilities in the safety, protection and health of women and children in marginalized communities and uplifting them with opportunities for holistic development.
In nearly two decades of our operation, we have made substantial strides in making urban space in difficult terrains, safer and more inclusive, rendering optimum utilization of resources from the government and similar-vision organizations to set a precedent of scalable models of programs that could be replicated across the country and beyond.
Military Engineer Services (MES)
The Military Engineer Services (MES) is the premier construction agency and one of the pillars of Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army which provides rear line engineering support to the Armed Forces. It is one of largest construction and maintenance agencies in India with a total annual budget to the tune of approx Rs 13000 crores. It is responsible for creating the strategic and the operational infrastructure other than major roads, as also the administrative habitat for all three Services and the associated organisations of the Ministry of Defence. It has Pan India footprint to provide engineering support to various formations of Army, Air Force, Navy and DRDO. For this, the MES has over six hundred stations spread across the main land and the island territories of India. MES is a military organization but has both Army and Civilian component of officers and other subordinate staff.

MUSKAAN : Foundation for Road Safety
MUSKAAN : Foundation for Road Safety is a registered not-for-profit trust committed to building a culture of safety on roads through Awareness, Education, Training and Advocacy. It was registered as a charitable Trust in the year 2001. As road safety is a shared resposbility the NGO uses an integrated, community-centric approach to the complex issue of road safety.
The NGO started in year 1999 in the wake of the death of 17-year-old Durva Bhasin, who lost her life in a road accident. She is the daughter of the founder member couple, Mr. Pramod Bhasin and Dr. Mridul Bhasin. Though a personal tragedy catalyzed the beginning, MUSKAAN is not a family trust.
Indian Roads Congress
The Indian Roads Congress (IRC) is the Apex Body of Highway Engineers in the country. The IRC was set up in December, 1934 on the recommendations of the Indian Road Development Committee best known as Jayakar Committee set up by the Govt. of India with the objective of Road Development in India.
Central Road Research Institute
CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), a premier national laboratory established in 1952, a constituent of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is engaged in carrying out research and development projects on design, construction and maintenance of roads and runways, traffic and transportation planning of mega and medium cities, management of roads in different terrains, improvement of marginal materials, utilization of industrial waste in road construction, landslide control, ground improvements environmental pollution, road traffic safety and analysis & design, wind, fatigue, corrosion studies, performance monitoring/evaluation, service life assessment and rehabilitation of highway & railway bridges. The institute provides technical and consultancy services to various user organizations in India and abroad. For capacity building of human resources in the area of highway Engineering to undertake and execute roads and runway projects, Institute has the competence to organize National & International Training Programmes continuing education courses since 1962 to disseminate the R&D finding to the masses.
Ministry of Road Transport & Highways
An apex organisation under the Central Government, is entrusted with the task of formulating and administering, in consultation with other Central Ministries/Departments, State Governments/UT Administrations, organisations and individuals, policies for Road Transport, National Highways and Transport Research with a view to increasing the mobility and efficiency of the road transport system in the country. The Ministry has two wings: Roads wing and Transport wing.
