He shared insights from a case study in Himachal Pradesh, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning and supportive policies to enhance road safety through practical implementation.
- Mr. Jigar Soni delved into the complexities of Road Traffic Crashes and the significance of capturing accurate data through scientific crash investigations. He highlighted the data-driven environment and the use of the Haddon’s Matrix for injury interventions and prevention strategies.

In addition to the lectures, IRF-IC introduced its School Zone Safety Program, launched by Hon. Minister Nitin Gadkari ji on January 24, 2024. Based on IRC’s SP 32 for School Zone Safety, the program aims to survey schools across India, identify infrastructure gaps, and assess traffic-related parameters within the 300 to 500 m school zone. An online Capacity Building Program for School Zone Auditors, covering 15 lakh schools nationwide, is also underway. Certificates were awarded to professionals and students who completed the online course.
