International Road Federation (India Chapter)-Foundation Day

International Road Federation – India Chapter (IRF-IC) celebrated 15 years of its establishment, reflecting on a journey driven by purpose, partnerships and an unwavering commitment to road safety and safer mobility. The Foundation Day programme was graced by senior dignitaries on the dais – including Mr. K. K. Kapila, Founder President, IRF-IC, Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava, President, IRF-IC, Prof. Manoranjan Parida, Former Director, CRRI-New Delhi, Mr. Pawan Kant, CEO, Interise Investment Managers Ltd. and Prof. P.K.Sikdar, Advisor, IRF-IC, whose presence and insights reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in saving lives on our roads.
Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava, President, IRF – IC, delivered the welcome address at the event.
Mr. K. K. Kapila, Founder President, IRF – IC, took through an inspiring video presentation capturing the IRF-IC journey from 2011 to 2025, highlighting the formative years that laid the foundation for a strong, credible and action-oriented institution.
Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava, shared a compelling vision on the road ahead, outlining IRF-IC’s future direction, priorities and commitment to strengthening the School Zone Safety and 5E approach to road safety in the years to come.
The Events Highlights were:
- Bytes from IRF-IC’s founder members and past members, reflecting on shared milestones, challenges and collective achievements over the last 15 years.
- A presentation from esteemed member 3M on their range of products and their contribution to making roads safer. A small exhibit of the products were showcased.
- A Road Safety pledge to observe the ongoing Road Safety Month.
- Award to recognise contribution’s by Industry members and the IRF-IC staff.
As we steps into its 16th year, we remain committed to working with governments, industry, academia and communities to transform intent into impact—because safer roads save lives.
