7th Lecture on the subject “Road Safety in India – A function of 5Es” ,November 21 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

At the outset, Mr. K.K. Kapila, Founder President, IRF-IC welcomed the participants and gave a brief overview of the Lecture series.

Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava, welcomed the distinguished Guest Speaker, Panelists and attendees.  The following Speaker and Panelists joined the Lecture and shared their thoughts and observations.

The Guest Speaker at the Lecture was Mr. K.K. Kapila. Mr. Kapila shared his presentation and highlighted the importance of 5Es of road safety in creating awareness and safe and secure road environment. He also highlighted the safe road projects in 7 states undertaken by IRF-IC and steps to reduce road accidents and fatalities therein. He also stressed on the Emergency care system as one of the critical requirement to minimize fatalities and disabilities due to road accidents/crashes.

A special presentation was made by Mr. Jehaan Kotwal, Founder, HumSafer on Driver Behaviour Monitoring System (DBMS) for prevention and prediction of road accidents.

A special presentation was also made by Mr. Amandeep Singh, Business Head, Avery Dennison India presented and emphasized on the integrated approach towards the 5Es which is the key to improve the road safety scenario in the country. The solutions provided by Avery Dennison to enhance the visibility of the road users are simple and effective and must be implemented to save lives.
