DESCRIPTION:IRF India Chapter organized its 10th Webinar of the webinar series\, titled “Asset Management for Roads and Bridges” – Every asset needs to be managed for maintenance management using modern tools and techniques on 11 th  July 2025 from 16:00 – 17:30 Hrs. The Webinar was attended by Road Safety Professionals\, Research Scholars\, Corporates\, Highway Engineers\, Road Planners\, Academicians\, etc. \nProf. P.K. Veeraragavan (Retd.)\, welcomed the distinguished Speakers and attendees. \nMr. Satyakam Sahu\, Regional Director\, Lea Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd.\, Click Here highlighted different objectives of Implementing RAMS. System design\, System Development &amp; Integration\, System Implementation\, Data Collection\, Preparation of Asset Management plans and training &amp; capacity building are different components of Road Asset Management System. He also added that IRC codes and guidelines are used in the RAMS. Bridge management is not merely a routine\, but an art\, which ensures that bridges remain fit for their intended purpose over a long period at minimum life cycle cost. Sikdar\, concluded the session by adding that without continuous and regularly collected data\, effective asset management was not possible. Without a dedicated inspection fund\, how can the asset management be effectively carried out. Bridges should be analyzed within the framework of bridge asset management.
